We went to the movies and came home broke!

Wow I nearly fell over when we went to the movies in Tauranga today and ordered our tickets and popcorn and ice creams and the lady told me it would be $63 dollars.......wow what a rip off!!!!

It was $18 per adult and $12 for a child!!!

All we wanted to see was the princess and the frog and it cost $63. After the movie my husband and I looked at what else we could have done for the same sort of money...

We could have gone to the speedway for 4 hours for only $40

We could have brought 6 dvds from the warehouse and had about 12 hours of entertainment

We could have gone ten pin bowling three times

We could have hired around 12 new release dvds from video easy with our vouchers and $60

I am afraid that after many years of going to the movies, we are now on strike as there is no way I will pay that sort of money again unless it is for something quite spectacular!!

I feel sorry for those who have more than one child as nowdays it would be near impossible to afford to go to the movies.
